Specific Activities of the Trust
Gracemaria Charitable Trust was formed on 12.04.2002 by the Trustees namely Fr. M. Selvaraj, Fr. M. Philomindas and Mr. A. Victor Singarayer. The objectives of the Trust among other things are to assist poor students.
The following are the specific activities carried out by the Trust during the year 01.04.2020 – 31.03.2021.
Scholarship was issued to poor students under three categories.
The first category is school children. Four school children were given scholarship. The total amount spent for them is Rs. 10,000/-
The second category is college students. Only one college student was given scholarship. The total amount spent for her is Rs. 7000/-
The third category is Diploma and Training students. Five students were given scholarship for job oriented vocational training. The total amount spent for them is Rs. 35000/-
The total number of poor students received scholarship is 10. The net amount spent for students’ scholarship is Rs. 52000/-
Food materials(Groceries) during Covid-19 Lockdown period were given to 33 families and the amount spent for this purpose is Rs. 19833/-
A donation of Rs. 2,10,000/- was given to St. Ignatius’ High School at Kulamanickam for renovation of Kitchen for Midday Meal Scheme.
These are the specific activities carried out by Gracemaria Charitable Trust during the financial year 2020 -2021 and the total amount spent for these specific activities is Rs. 2,81,833/-. Thus, the Trust is lending hand to poor students to pursue their education.
